A flat, fast marathon course in the beautiful city of Amsterdam, this is definitely a race to talk to your running club about. Looking to set a new PB? What better place to do it than against the wonderous backdrop of Amsterdam.

 

Our hotel is located within easy reach of the race start and finish and you’ll also be invited to take part in warm up runs, join the international pasta party and pick your distance; Marathon, Half Marathon or 8K! Whichever distance you choose, our team will be on hand for guidance and support to make your trip a success.

We are very pleased to offer guaranteed entry into the TCS Amsterdam Marathon. Entry for the Half Marathon and 8K are also available (official race T-Shirt available as an extra price)

 

 

Eligibility: Marathon Tours & Travel, an authorised tour operator, is required to offer travel arrangements in conjunction with guaranteed race entry. All runners must be 18 years or older to participate in the marathon or half marathon and 14 years or older on race day to participate in the 8k.

 

Race Rules apply.

 

 

Number Pickup: You must pick up your race bib and packet at the International Marathon Expo prior to race day.

 

Temperature: Average temperatures on race day are around 12°C.

The Marathon Course

Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the marathon course is fast, flat and leads runners through the sights and sounds of Amsterdam.

Race Time: 09:00 – 09:30am

Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The time limit for the Marathon is 6 hours. The finish in the Olympic Stadium closes at 17:00pm. This following km-points should be reached at:

 

5 km – 10.12 hours

10 km – 10.54 hours

15 km – 11.36 hours

20 km – 12.19 hours

25 km – 13.01 hours

42,195 km – 17.00 hours

 

Runners who are reached by the sweeper vehicle, based on the passing-time table, and will therefore certainly exceed the time limit will be called upon by a member of the jury to leave the race and, for reasons of safety, get into the broom wagon. Should you decide to continue the race, despite the request of the jury member, you do so at your own risk. Remember, the course will be opened to traffic again once the broom wagon has passed. The water points and medical care points will also be removed, and it will no longer be possible to end in the Olympic Stadium. If you are removed from the race, you will not be eligible for a medal.

 Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.

 

 

The Half Marathon Course

Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the half marathon is the biggest in the Netherlands and consists of one loop, most of which passes through the centre of Amsterdam. The course is fast, flat and leads runners through the sights and sounds of Amsterdam. 

Race Time: 13:00pm – 13:50pm

Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The time limit for the half Marathon is 3 hours.

Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.

 

 

The 8k Course

Starting and finishing at the Olympic Stadium, the 8k is part of the marathon course. You can expect to pass the Rijksmuseum, Vondelpark before finishing at the Olympic Stadium in front of the grandstand. 

Race Time: 09:45am – 09:50am

Minimum Pace/Cut-off Time Policy: The time limit for the 8k is 1 hour.  After 10:55am, finishing in the Olympic Stadium is no longer possible.

Awards: Every finisher receives a medal.
