Please note: Depending on the length of stay you have booked with us you might arrive before or depart on different days to the following itinerary.
Berlin is fascinating with plenty to see and do. The itinerary below reflects the 3-nights package. Adding extra nights is recommended as this allows you the time to enjoy the city.
Friday 27 September, 2024 - Arrival Day, Marathon Expo, Welcome & Orientation Run/Walk
Make your way to Berlin and on arrival check in to your hotel. Hotel rooms are usually ready after 3pm; if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with the hotel concierge and explore the city and surrounds. Marathon Tours & Travel team will be available in your hotel today to meet and answer any questions you might have.
Today is the best day to visit the Marathon Expo and collect your bib number and any other extra items you may have pre-ordered. The Marathon Expo has plenty to see and do so we suggest you allow time to collect your race documents, shop from the many exhibitors, listen to the experts and enjoy the pre-race vibe. There will be an opportunity to meet with your Marathon Tours & Travel team at the hotel to travel together to the Marathon Expo. For those who prefer to visit the expo independently, detailed directions will be provided in your final itinerary.
Early evening, we invite you to join your Marathon Tours & Travel team for a Welcome Reception with drinks and canapés and an easy run/walk to stretch the legs. The route is not expected to be longer than 5km and is likely to pass some local sights such as the Jewish Memorial, Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. A perfect way to see the and feel the vibe at the start/finish area. Supporters are very welcome to join too.
Saturday 28 September, 2024 - Optional Breakfast Run, Preparation , Pasta Dinner
We expect there to be an organised breakfast run for international visitors today. It’s fun and welcomes runners from all nations, many wear their countries traditional dress or carry their nations flags. If the route stays the same as 2023, it will start at the Charlottenburg Palace and finish 6km later at the Olympic Stadium. It’s free and you are not required to pre-register. Please let us know if you are interested and the Marathon Tours & Travel team will join you! Optional return private transport is available to book.

Often restaurants are booked up early, but you do not need to worry about finding somewhere to carb-load this evening as you join the Marathon Tours & Travel team for a delicious and nutritious pre-race pasta dinner.

Sunday 29 September, 2024 - Race Day and Celebrations
This is the day you have trained so hard for! After an early breakfast please get ready to leave the hotel for the race start in the Tiergarten. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be available to assist you to the race. Our team will be happy to escort runners to the start area or you can follow the directions provided to make your own way, in your own time.
From the TITANIC Chaussee Berlin hotel, it’s a straightforward 30 minutes’ walk to the runners only start area (front of the Reichstag). Or less than 20 minutes if you prefer to combine walking and the underground train (U-Bahn).
Family and friends can travel by public transport to support and spectate along the race route or join our team at a cheer point on the marathon route. The Marathon Tours & Travel team will be happy to advise.
After the race make your way back to the hotel, freshen up, relax and gaze at your lovely new shiny medal…you worked hard for it!

Monday 30 September, 2024 - Departure Day
Unless you have booked extra nights please check out of your room before 12:00.
