Exact details for the 2025 event have not been officially confirmed yet, but we expect it to be a DOWN RUN on Sunday 8 June 2025, which will be the 98th running of the Comrades Marathon. The DOWN RUN will start in Pietermaritzburg and finish in Durban, with the race distance being approximately 89km. First run in 1921, this marathon is a personal challenge of mind and body, for which you have 12 hours to finish. The course is famous for endless hills in impressive scenery, as well as camaraderie, unique traditions and its history. It’s an event you will not forget and truly is life changing.
