Our Marathon Tours & Travel China Country Manager, Kris Van Goethem, travelled to Tokyo early March to help the team from Marathon Tours & Travel USA. The purpose of the trip was to learn from the Best. With decades of experience in the business, an international team of Trip Specialists managed the build-up and detailed preparation of the event. With a group of 500 runners mostly from North America, and another 300 partners, friends and family coming alone, it was a big organization! The team ensured a smooth operation, guiding the runners to their starting corals on race day, and welcoming them at the Finish Line. After the race, there was a wonderful celebratory event, honouring the many runners who earned their Six Star Medal (finishing all six World Major Marathons), and there were even a dozen of hero runners becoming Seven Continents Club Finishers! So much emotion and passion! See you next year in Tokyo?
